After unveiling it at Shopify Unite conference last June, Shopify has just made available on GitHub the technical environment of Hydrogen, its new initiative to allow developers to create sites that are even faster and that deliver the best shopping experiences.
Hydrogen is a toolkit that includes a basic structure to accelerate the creation of a site, as well as a set of React components available to developers to allow them to build and customize the technical structure of the site.
Hydrogen is open source for a reason: Shopify wants to build it in collaboration with its ecosystem, and will keep iterating quickly over the next few months based on developers feedback.
